Nearly 50 years ago, three courageous women purchased a small house in Fayetteville
at the corner of Mountain and School. This bold act established the very first domestic violence shelter in Arkansas, laying the foundation for what would become Peace at Home Family Shelter.

The Mountain Society honors this legacy by inviting dedicated community members to make a lasting impact in the lives of survivors of domestic violence and their children.
